Thought you might enjoy this short selection of behind the scenes footage from outdoors film-maker Terry Abraham from an early shoot of his new documentary, 'The Cairngorms in Winter with Chris Townsend'.
Longstanding outdoors writer, long-distance walker and gear-tester, Townsend lives in the Cairngorms and he and Abraham raised the funds to produce the film using online fund-generator website Kickstarter. It's being shot this winter using Terry's unusual modus operandi of camping wild for several days at a time putting him right in the midst of the landscape.
You can judge some of the results for yourself from the video clip, but it does make it hard work. The trip above left Abraham 'battered and bruised with a leaking matress and failed gas stove. He's heading back shortly for second filming stint.
More at terrybnd.blogspot.co.uk where Terry blogs regularly. And at www.christownsendoutdoors.com where among other things you can read about Chris's collapsing igloo which you can see here...
Finally, Salomon - www.salomon.com/uk/ is supporting the project.
And speaking of that snow igloo, here's a time lapse sequence of its construction, nice...
