Following on from last week's heads-up on KEEN's first UK Envirotrek event, it's great to see another top outdoors brand, Black Diamond, getting stuck in to environmental stuff on the ground with an Easter initiative to clear rubbish from renowned French bouldering venue, Fontainebleau.

In an event dubbed 'Chasin' The Rubbish', staff from BD's European operation along with sponsored athlete Nalle Hukkataival - that's him in the video - rolled up to three of the forest's most popular areas and handed out recyclable rubbish sacks to boulderers along with advice on how to care for the boulders themselves - clean your shoes before climbing, for example, because dirty shoes are a major contributor to polishing holds.

At the end of the days, the climbers returned the bags to the Black Diamond guys, who then disposed of them. All in all more than 1200 bags were handed out and an incredible 250kg of rubbish was collected and removed.

Good going.
