Film festivals incoming - must be autumn. Check out the teaser for this year's Edinburgh festival.

JonBlimey, is it that time of year again? Autumn means mountain film festivals and lecture tours and one of the first on the calendar, is the 2011 Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival which runs from 6-9 October.
Check out the video teaser above - you might recognise the very Scottish music, or at least the artist, the late Martyn Bennett who also features on the soundtrack for Dave MacLeod's Echo Wall DVD - and if you like the look of that, you can find the full programme on the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival web site at www.edinburghmountainff.com.
Highlights, for those too idel to click on a link, include Catherine Destivelle lecturing live on the Sunday night and talking about her extraordinary climbing career and Johhny Dawes on the Friday night reflecting on his unorthodox lifetime of climbing and more. There's also a Satiurday night party and a film called Project Megawoosh - what more could you ask for?
