ZAZ entertainment as French singing star performs on the summit of Mont Blanc...

Ah, those crazy continentals... Here on OM we're proud to bring you the news that internationally renowned French popular music star ZAZ has performed an impromptu, unlpugged version of her internationally known trademark hit 'Je Veux' ('I Want') on the summit of Mont Blanc.

Not only that, but the lovely ZAZ along with her guitarist and bass player made it to the summit via the normal route entirely under their own steam carrying their fragile instruments with them. It was all worth it though, at around 10 am, the band let rip with an audience consisting of two cameramen and a radio-controlled drone.

You can find out more from the video above, bear in mind that it's in French, though thoughtfully German sub-titles have also been provided: 'Mental ist er einfach unerschütterlich,' says Dani the guide and one of the best mountaineers in der Welt. 'Das ist super hart'. Erm, ja...

It was all part of the Mammut Peak Project which is celebrating 150 years of the Swiss mountain brand by forcing random celebrities to climb high mountains, sorry, by scaling 150 peaks around the world including five of the seven highest continental summits. 

Not only that but the film of the ascent and, obviously, the concert, is going to form part of this year's European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT) which kicks off in Luxembourg this Thursday and visits the UK for the first time this year.
