With 28 Everest summits between them, Kenton Cool and Lakpa Rita Sherpa should make for a fascinating evening on the subjects of Everest from both western and Sherpa viewpoints.

One for your advance diaries with the news that Sherpa Adventure Gear athletes Kenton Cool and Lakpa Rita Sherpa will be presenting three lectures titled Everest Uncovered this October in Edinburgh, Manchester and London.

Between them, the pair have a remarkable 28 Everest summits - Cool, of course, with 11 has more successful attempts on the world's highest mountain than any other Briton - and Lakpa Rita Sherpa's extraordinary record was recognised by Outside Magazine which made him one of it's Adventurers of the Year for 2013 in recognition of his 20 years of experience and 16 Everest summits.

It's great to see Sherpa Adventure Gear, a Nepalese owned and run company, giving the opportunity for us to hear the Sherpa view on Everest at first hand and combined with Cool's likeable lecture style, it should make for a fascinating evening as the pair talk about the history and future of the world's highest mountain.

Dates are Edinburgh: 23 October, 2013.. Manchester: 24 October, 2013 and London 25 October, 2013. Tickets are £10 each and you can order online at www.sherpaadventuregear.co.uk or phone 01572 772504 for more details.
