Vango's new rapid-pitching inflatable tent AirBeam system was selected as one of the top three innvoations at the recent Gadget Show Live and featured on the Monday night showing of the Channel Five programme.
To save you the hassle of wading through the entire programme, we can tell you that the Vango Velocity tent pops up, quite literally, at around the 16:50 mark and the presenters pump it up from scratch taking just 3 minutes and 41 seconds to get it up, ahem...
Which is pretty damn impressive given that it was a first attempt and an eye-opener if you've ever struggled with the multiple pole horror of family camping.
Vango's using the AirBeam system for a range of larger, car-camping type tents ranging from the 7.00kg Velocity 200, which sleeps two with a whopping great vestibule, through to the massive family-sized Infinity range.
The AirBeam tents will available in late May and look like a brilliant, hassle-saving feature, particularly on big, compicated family tents.
