Check out the latest TV and cinema ad from Berghaus which is set to hit both TV and cinema screens next month and has been put together by top outdoors film-maker, Alastair Lee.
The advert forms the centrepiece of a new Live for Adventure campaign, which the company says is its largest ever marketing drive and aims to reach no fewer than 15 million Brits over the next month or so. The TV and cinema advert is set to run on digital channels for five weeks starting in early October, while it will also be in cinemas nationwide ahead of the new James Bond film Skyfall later in the month.
As well as the TV and cinema stuff, there's also going to be print and digital promotions including an intriguing sounding YouTube film which is based around the adventures of an office worker embarking on a mission to climb Mount Bear.
The film apparently works a bit like a children's 'choose your own adventure book' with an interactive element allowing viewers to make crucial decisions in the course of the film and view the outcomes - we'll have the millionaire's shortbread please...
Seriously though, it's all based around the sort of decisions you'd make on a real-life expedition and features cameos from top Berghaus athletes Leo Houlding and Julia Pickering. We'll let you know when that's live, but for now, check out Mr Lee's rather snazzy film and see how many Berghaus team athletes you can recognise. We reckon we deserve extra cake for spotting Dragon's Back Race organiser Shane Ohly sat in the door of his tent... Enjoy.
And for a bit of nostalgia, here's the original ad from last year's campaign which was filmed by Alastair Lee in the Italian Dolomites...
... plus the infinitely superior spoof version Al produced with the help of his son. Ace!
