The 2002 Adrenalin Rush adventure race takes place between 25th
May and 1st June in Ireland and entries are being taken now.
There are places for 50 mixed teams of four and it's first come,
first served with entries being taken through the web site.
Following on from the 2001 event, when Europe's 'toughest race'
was pulled out of the foot and mouth muck with a rearranged venue in
Scotland, the 2002 event gets an extra day - up from six days to
seven and the usual catholic taste in activities.
To quote the organisers: 'Next years race has been increased from
6 days to 7 days and will include the following disciplines. Sea
kayaking, Trekking, Horse riding, Caving, Mountain biking, swimming,
Coasteering and Roped sections. The course will be a minimum of 300
miles and will travel extensively through the North and South of
Ireland.
Disclaimer: Adventure racing is, as ever, unimaginably hard,
or so our mates at On The Hill keep pretentding. For a regular race
report and news fix, check out their regular race section in the
magazine.
