If you're still nursing aching legs from the weekend, just be glad
you don't have to swap places with competitors in the Adrenalin Rush
including the boys from our magazine partners On The Hill.
Europe's toughest race, a 300-mile non-stop event started this
morning at around 11.00 o'clock with 32 teams competing in mountain
biking, running, climbing and abseiling, kayaking, trekking,
navigation, horse riding, swimming.
Originally to be held in Northern Ireland, the foot and mouth
epidemic forced a re-location to Stirling in Scotland with the date
moved from May to late July thanks to a lot of hard graft behind the
scenes and the work of Stirling Council.
This year's event is also one of the stages of the inaugural 2001
World Adventure Race Championships. Anyway, if you want to know
what's going down and how the two Steves - Duffy and Watkins - are
doing in their guise of half of Team
The North Face, you can follow the race live on 9feet.com by
clicking
here.
So, good luck guys. Remember, adventure racing is unimaginably
hard (as we always say), for a monthly helping of detailed race news
and information, check out the new adventure racing section at the
back of On
The Hill magazine.
