Erstwhile OM contributor and all round mountaineering performer,
speaker, film maker and photographer Alastair Lee has asked us to let
you know that he's going to be a multi-faceted, multi-media fixture
at next month's Kendal Mountain Film Festival.
First, his exhibition 'More than Meets the Eye - landscapes from
around the world in 360 degrees' is now up at the Kendal Brewery Arts
Centre as part of the Ithaca exhibition by mountain artists.
On top of that, two of Alastair's films,'I am Climbing',
a14-minute short about the Castleton Valley and 'Twice Upon a Time
in Bolivia' 50mins made with David Halsted, are going to be screened
as part of the festival.
Finally, Alastair, the performer, gets a look in with a show on
the Saturday night in the theatre at 8.30pm.
And since you asked, the Film Festival runs from 13 to 21
November, with the weekend of 19-21st being the main event. As well
as the film festival proper, there's a programme of lectures and
debates, an exhibition of mountain art and for the first time, a
Kendal Mountain Book Festival.
