A quick heads up to mountain film fans with the news that you can now download a selection of Alastair Lee's excellent climbing films - some in High Definition - direct from his web site onto your computer.

You can still buy the DVD version direct from the site, but the HD download versions, says Al, has higher  image quality and, of course, you don't have to wait for the postman. Some films, including The Asgard Project, are still only available on DVD however.

Films available for HD download include last year's Grit Flick and the 52-minute festival cut of the excellent On Sight - see the YouTube trailer above. You can also download Psyche, Set in Stone, Storms and Twice Upon A Time In Bolivia in Standard Definition.

To make it feasibe, you need a fast, reliable internet connection, a recent version of the Quicktime Movie Player and around 2GB of free disc space for storage.
