All Change At TGO

Deputy Editor of TGO heads to pastures new after more than 13 years on duty ...

TGO MagazineJohn Manning, the deputy editor of TGO, wrote his final words for the magazine last Friday before donning his fleece and heading off to a new life in the Yorkshire Dales.

He's been with TGO for 13 years, one month and 28 days, which is quite some record - and yes, he admits to counting them. The change means there'll be a new face to look out for next time TGO lands on your doormat, with Emily Rodway set to start work on the magazine on October 22nd. Good luck to her.

John won't be disappearing from the outdoors scene completely - he's planning to work as a freelance writer from his new base in Stainforth, so you can still look out for his words of wisdom on all things outdoory, it will just be a bit harder to guess where they're going to appear from next.

Other than that, his plans apparently include dynamiting salmon on the Ribble and sampling the best of Stainforth's ale houses. Sounds okay to us:-)

Thanks to John for his massive contribution to TGO over the years and good luck with the freelance writing - and the ale!
