Alpkit Big Shake Out Cancelled
Alpkitties forced to cancel for now, but the idea is still very much alive.

A quick heads up to let you know that unfortunately Alpkit's
Big Shake
Out weekend in May has had to be cancelled due to
problems with the planned
venue in North Yorkshire.
AlpCol tells us that the guys at Alpkit were really taken aback by the
high level of interest in their proposed multi-activity weekend beano
and are 'really positive' about the event, so they're looking at
re-scheduling it for later in 2009 or, failing that, they'll be Shaking
Out in 2010.
Ironically it was the high level of interest that mullered the event,
the initial venue couldn't cope with the anticipated numbers and a
search for a short term replacement drew a blank.
So bad news, we were really looking forward to it as well, but looking
good for the future and big apologies from Alpkit to everyone out there
who wanted to get along, do stuff and be entertained.
