Alpkit is five years old and to celebrate they've turned back time on selected prices.
It's hard to believe but
Alpkit
is now five years old and to celebrate, the company has
turned back time to sell one of its most popular products at the
original asking price for a limited period.
Alpkit's range of self-inflating
Airic
mats is now on sale at
original
2005 prices, but - say the Alpkitties - you need to be
quick: 'Our Way Back When Machine' uses a reconditioned flux capacitor
and the time tunnel will only last 30 days. Dr Science has predicted
its strength will decrease causing a weekly rise in prices. As always
Alpkit website prices include first class postage and orders placed
before 2pm on weekdays will be despatched the very same day'.
So there you go, right now - first week of October - prices range from
a measy £15 for a Wee Airic through to £35 for the
luxuriously thick Fat version, with prices rising slightly each week as
the, erm, flux capacitor degenerates...
Congratulations
On a personal note, we'd like to say congratulations to
the guys, four inspired fellas with an outdoors industry background who
decided to try something different by designing and sourcing their own
outdoors gear then selling it direct from the web to minimise overheads
and keep prices down.
They started with tee-shirts, moved on to bouldering mats - the
legendary Phud - and expanded into sleeping bags, self-inflating mats
and much, much more including head torches, the ace Hunka bibby bag,
neat down jackets and the legendary, windproof and water-resistant
Alpkit Jeanius jeans.
Way back then, we were secretly concerned that their prices were just
too low, but thankfully we were wrong, the boys had done their sums and
Alpkit has gone from strength to strength, producing a range of great
products at an excellent price.
