Alpkit Launches New CoLab Project

Help develop a UK-specific belay jacket by participating in the latest CoLab offer.

Those nice boys at Alpkit have announced their latest CoLab project, a UK-friendly synthetically-insulated belay jacket called the 0Hiro.

The idea is hone a big over-jacket that's designed specifically to work in damp, cold UK conditions, the sort of thing that'll save you from despair on a frozen belay ledge halfway up some godforsaken, thawing, Cairngorm mixed route.

Alpkit 0hiro Jacket

As ever, the CoLab process is all about developing the details of the jacket so it does exactly what it's supposed to. That means the Alpkit guys are asking you to get involved with your opinions on exactly what's needed. Does it maybe need a waterproof-lined Pot Noodle brew pocket or extra pockets generally, is the hood big enough...

It works like this, by agreeing to participate in CoLab, you get to buy the jacket at the reduced price of £45 - normally it's £60 - wear it and feed back your impressions.

Simple no? You can find full details at www.alpkit.com/colab/projects/0hiro/
