Leo Houlding's Asgard Project team - the aim is to climb one of the hardest big walls in the world on Baffin Island and then BASE jump back to camp while being filmed along the way - and have trekked in to Mount Asgard itself.

Asgard Project walk-in on Baffin Island

In a novel twist, Leo, Sean and Carlos, the team's three climbers actually sky-dived into the national park, saving themselves a five-day walk-in in the process, but the rest of the team trekked in on foot. Supplies have been taken in by snowmobile while snow was still lying on the ground earlier this year, but reading between the lines, it seems that more equipment was delivered by air drop.

In the process of this, two of the project's portaledges were damaged, so two of the team had to return to Pang to collect more Portaledges.

As you can see from the image above, the location is absolutely stunning and there are a lot more images to check out at the Project's web site: www.theasgardproject.com. More details when we get them.
