Just in case you missed it, the good news for round the world Brit' walker Karl Bushby is that he's avoided deportation from Russia and can now continue his record-breaking walk.

Bushby was arrested in eastern Russia after crossing the Bering Strait and entering Russia without using an official border crossing last month and feared that he would be expelled from the country, which would curtail his planned 36,000-mile walk.

On appeal however, he was fined £40 and can now continue. His father, Keith Bushby, is quoted by the BBC as saying:

"It will be a great weight lifted from his shoulders," he said. "They will now spend the next couple of weeks collecting their equipment and getting themselves together. I'm absolutely delighted, this is great news."
