They shoot walkers don't they?

Utter madness from The Scotsman, who have a breathtaking feature on a plan to introduce safari-style holidays with a difference to the Cairngorm area, they take up the story:

'The plan is to provide outdoor holidays on a safari basis, where clients would trek to inaccessible parts of the Highlands using ponies and porters in a manner more associated with the Himalayas, or indeed the Raj. However, instead of merely observing the animals, as is the custom on safari in Africa or while trekking in Nepal, they would be permitted to hunt them.'

Fantastic stuff. You'll be heartened to learn that ponies will carry vital supplies like port and champagne on the hill. Meanwhile it's not entirely clear whether walkers and climbers will be classed as part of the wild life.
