There's just over a week left for film-makers to get their submissions in for the 2011 Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (4-6 March 2011). The deadline's December 1st! Full details are available on their website.
Meanwhile organiser, Matt Heason has hand-picked the best of last year's award-winners. To whet your appetite ahead of the main weekend festival in March. Heason Events are hosting two special evening showings - one next month (6th December) and another in February (7th).
Shaff's about showing the best adventure films and animation from around the world. Shaff takes you from the endurance extremes of big-wall free-climbing and cross-continental cycling via the awe-inspiring skill of free-style snowsports, BMXers and parcour runners to the the sublime beauty of Afghanistan's war-torn wilderness and beyond to the ridiculousness of ski-jumping into an Alpine paddling pool.
Sit back in comfort and watch all the action on the big screen at the art-house 1930s Showroom, Sheffield's one and only independent cinema.
