Cliffhanger Back In July!

Sheffield's outside outdoors festival returns even bigger and better for 2009.

A quick heads up that this year's Sheffield-based Cliffhanger outdoors event is just a month or so away on the weekend of 11-12 July, 2009.

Organiser Matt Heason tells us that this year's extravaganza is going to feature all the stuff that made the 2008 event good plus a lot more besides. That means the British Bouldering Championships, free to use 'try it' artificial climbing walls, mountain bike stunt demonstrations, free professional climbing coaching, pull-up competition and lots more.

New for this year is a bouldering competition for kids, a four-hour adventure race, mini mountain marathon event, an urban fell race - really - free archery and rollerskiing. Should keep kids big and small entertained...

Check out the video from last year's event for a taste of what to expect....

Cliffhanger takes place at Millhouses Park, Sheffield on 11/12 July from 10.30am to 6.30pm. Admission is £5 for adults, accompanied children under 16 get in free, price includes a programme and tickets will only be on sale at the event itself.
