The Sunday Times - Scotland reported yesterday that Scottish climber Dave MacLeod is planning to follow up his Dumbarton E11 - 'hardest climb in the world' - with another E11 project on the north face of Ben Nevis.

The film of his Dumbarton project, 'E11', took three awards at the recent Edinburgh Film, Festival and has brought wider awareness of his achievements. The next step, the paper says, is a route of equivalent difficulty on the Ben, though MacLeod isn't saying exactly where for fear of being gazumped - yep, there must be plenty of climbers out there just gagging to try an E11...

Anyway, not only is the new route as technically challenging as the Dumbarton E11, it is, says MacLeod 'more dangerous' and a fall would likely be fatal. From the description, the face sounds like it's devoid of protection.
