BMC Climb 2007

Europe's top boulderers are battling it out this weekend at the IFSC Championships at the NEC, Birmingham. If you're going along to the Outdoors Show over the weekend, you can watch them do their stuff in the Climb Zone - and go for a climb yourself as well. Failing that, live coverage is available via the BMC website - follow http://www.thebmc.co.uk/climb07/liveaction.htm.

We gave you rather a short Friday matinee this week, so if you're still scratching around for a way of making it through to 5:30 on Friday afternoon, you could do worse.

The timetable for the championship includes women's qualifying rounds from 11am today (Friday) and men's qualifying rounds from the same time on Saturday. The kings and queens of the stone monkeys then go head to head for the semi-finals/finals from 9:30 on Sunday.

If you make it to Birmingham, the climb zone isn't just a spectators' area. There are also coaching sessions on offer, and why not go for fame and glory by having a bash at the world dyno record while you're at it? Or you could play it safe and head for a seat in the Summit Theatre, where the experts will be talking about their exploits, including the likes of Mick Fowler, Neil Gresham and Leo Houlding.

Full information at the Outdoors Show website.

Enjoy the show, if you're heading that way. Enjoy the BMC coverage if you aren't. And enjoy your weekend if you're doing either or neither:-)
