One more heads up on the OS Outdoors Show this Friday, specialist photographic guys Park Cameras will be there and ready to offer advice on which cameras to look at for  use when walking and climbing.

Not only will Park's own staff be on hand to answer questions, but experts from Pentax and Olympus will be on the stand offering advice on their ranges.

Olympus Mju 8000 Tough

One camera that might stand up to outdoors use is the Olympus MJU Tough 8000 which is shockproof up to two metres, waterproof up to 10 metres, crushproof up to 100kg and survives down to temperatures of -10C. It also features a wide optical zoom and Dual Image Stabilisation plus an LCD screen designed to work in bright sunlight. Priced at £279.99.

Another option might be the Pentax Optio W60 which again features a wide angle optical zoom, is waterproof down to four metres and designed to cope with dust and temperature variations. Priced at £179.99.

Park Cameras are at www.parkcameras.com. More about this year's OS Outdoors Show at www.outdoorsshowextra.co.uk

Just to clarify this post was primarily for Windy folks and especially our DW and CB, the two great "wannabe charlatan moors photographers" themselves there!

It is not a post meant in any way as a sleight or an insult to anyone at all therefore, have no worries, relax everyone; and no real photograpers were harmed in the making of this thread, and all similarities to any hypothetical persons living or dead are purely coincidental too etc....etc...legal jargon.....more legal jargon......ok folks! It is meant as a purely humerous post only this one!

And guys, yes it does always raise a smile or chuckle here with me when you refer to each other/yourselves with that term "wannabe charlatans"!
