Despite the unseasonably warm weather, going for a winter swim in the great outdoors is still going to be a chilling but exhilarating experience.
Join the Outdoor Swimming Society for their December Dip this Saturday. The first of the festive swims, this year they've already sold a record breaking number of tickets. Swimmers will enjoy a bracing bikini/trunk dip in the lovely art deco Parliament Hill Lido (near Hampstead Heath in London), followed by a warm up with the legendary hot tub, mince pies and a sneaky tipple. Spectators are welcome this year, so bring friends in support. They've also got a full brass band to cheer you on, and Edith Bowman coming to speak.
See what you're letting yourself in for with the film from the 2008 swim www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccNPL2jEExk.
Swimmers tickets cost £15, and spectators are welcome for a donation on the door.
