The photographic collection of Scotland's first Munroist is apparently being catalogued by the Scottish Mountaineering Club and may eventually go on display at the new Scottish National Photography Centre in Edinburgh according to an article in The Scotsman.

The Rev A E Robertson took around 3,000 shots of mountain scenes from Scotland to the Alps and completed the Munroes in 1901. His photographs have mostly been sitting in cardboard boxes for most of the last century, but the club - he was a member - is now cataloguing and digitising the images and looking for a permanent home for them.

The Scotsman estimates that his photographic equipment would have weighed around 15 lbs, so remember that next time you're whining that your new-fangled digital camera's too heavy.
