As we mentioned this morning, progress on Everest this spring is problematic but that hasn't stopped Ranulph Fiennes who is attempting the mountain for the second time with multiple summiteer Kenton Cool.

The good news is that you can follow Sir Rannulph's progress on the mountain by watching video footage from Team Marie Curie at the expedition's dedicated web site.

At the moment, Fiennes - like other climbers on the mountain - isn't allowed to progress beyond Camp 2 until 10 May, but has already headed up towards Camp 1. In videos on the site, he talks about just how physically hard it is hauling big packs at alttiude.

It's unclear how badly the security operation around Everest will affefct the coverage, but you can see the footage and catch up with the latest news at www.everestchallenge.org.uk where you can also donate to Marie Curie Cancer Care, who Fiennes is backing.
