Four-Legged Lover Sweeps Gallery Stakes

Forget mountains. Forget Alpine meadows and glacial landscapes and towering sea cliffs. April's Photographer of the Month decided that none of these were necessary parts of the road to Bridgedale sockdom and hit the humour button hard instead. The result? Matt's latest lady love enters centre stage.

Matt tells us he has a very good libel lawyer to hand if needed, so we won't say much, except that she looks very lovely in her, erm, green-tinted contacts and lipstick, and we wish him every happiness.

Bearded Git comments: "If this one wins the monthly competition, maybe the prize should be three pairs of Swaledales instead of the usual fare. :-)" Unfortunately, we don't think Bridgedale stock the necessary goods, but Frank will receive the usual three pairs of Trekkers for his fine work instead.

Meanwhile, the runner up stuck with more standard OM material and went for a good old mountain photo. Why would someone do such an odd thing, we wonder, when there are inflatable sheep out there waiting to be photographed?

No, seriously, Schiehallion's a stunning cloud inversion and well worthy a couple more pairs of Trekkers.
