Free Beer For Wall Walkers
Walkers on the Hadrian's Wall Path will be able to claim free beer using a newly relaunched Path Passport sponsored by Cumbrian brewers Jennings. Can't be bad...

Rather pleasingly, Jennings Cumberland Ale is the sponsor for the
newly relaunched Hadrian's Wall Path Passport designed to be used
along the length of Britain's newest National Trail.
The 'Passport' is a neat fold-out card affair with a diagramatic
map of the route of the path teamed up with spaces for stamps from
six stamping stations along the course of the walk. Collect all six
en route between 1 May and 31 October - no cheating by driving
between them - and you'll qualify for an exclusive Hadrian's Wall
Path completion badge and certificate.
More usefully, the Passport also lists all the Jennings pubs along
the course of the wall and shows them prominently on the map, which
can only be a good thing, plus if you present your passport while
purchasing a meal from any of them, you'll get a free half pint
of Jennings Cumberland Ale, which can only be an even better
thing :-)
You can get hold of a Passport from any stamping point along the
route, including Jennings' pubs along the route and tourist
information centres at Hexham, Newcastle and Carlisle, or by calling
the Hadrian's Wall Information Line on 01434 322002. Also see the
web
site.
Since the Trail opened a year ago, it's estimated that over 3,500
long distance walkers have completed it and that Trail visitors have
contributed an estimated £3 million to the local economy.

Richard how dare you suggest such a thing....... What is very strange is my "passport" arrived by post today with the bit about free beer and I thought "well I never!!" I'm not normally an ale sort of girl but I did try some at the outdoor show by Jennings which I liked (more free beer if anyone from Jennings reading this):]] What are you hiding under your badly drawn boy pic?
