Interested in crossing pristine ice caps or climbing remote peaks? Check this out...
Anyone harbouring a sneaking desire to ship out to
Patagonia and trek across polar ice caps or summit a remote
peak might be interested in a series of free slide shows being
run across the country from next week.

Presented by Benjamin Gorelick of the Patagonia Mountaineering
School, the shows are based on a trip with six mountaineering novices
across the Patagonian Ice Cap and detail the trials and tribulations
of the expedition along with more general advice on climbing and
travelling in the region.
The events aren't, says Gorelick, a promotion for the school, but
about Patagonian mountaineering generally.
As well as the presentation, there's also a free handout with
Patagonia-specific and more general information on mountaineering.
