Gift Beta - Alpgifts From Alpkit

Today's Christmas gift idea is a sort of mongrel mix of things with just the origin in common, so let's call them, erm, Alpgifts from the nice people at Alpkit.

There's plenty to choose from on the ever-growing Alpkit web site, but here are a few ideas. Socks - yes, yes, we know, socks, knit them yourself etc - are a festive staple and Alpkit has a selection to suit pretty much every foot and activity with men's and women's-specific models in different lengths.


For this time of year you'll be wanting Trekkers, calf-length Isolwool Alpsocks, which right now are only in stock in women's sizes at £15 for three pairs, but looking ahead, check out the Aktif Ankle, two-season Coolmax socks with terry heel and toe sections for warmer days and the AKdrenaline mountain biking socks, which we've found actually work better as very padded approach shoe socks, £9 for two pairs.

 Alpkit started with tee-shirts and they're still there with new designs being added regularly in both men's and women's variants. We like new designs  Tent Life and Go Nice Places but if you don't share our taste there are plenty of other options all at £15 each.
