A quick heads up for northern English OMers with the news that Swedish brand Haglofs has launched a shop-in-shop with outdoor retailer Fell & Mountain in Accrington, Lancashire.

Haglofs shop in shop

It's the first of its kind in the UK and is a dedicated area of the store - above - stocking a comprehensive range of Haglofs products. Haglofs has been exporting to the UK for seven years now and has steadily been building a reputation as a maker of top quality outdoors clothing and equipment with footwear added to the range just this year.

Keith of Fell & Mountain comments:

“Having just completed 25 years of trading we selected Haglöfs as our in-store partner for several reasons. We feel Haglöfs offers the finest complete range of outdoor equipment, from footwear, clothing, rucksacks, sleeping bags through to their accessories, and having stocked it since it first arrived in the UK, we have never known a brand grow so fast in such a short time.

'It has easily become our most important brand. Customer loyalty to the brand is simply unbelievable, a good indicator as to the quality and performance of the products.'

The gear was good years ago when only a few shops stocked it. Plain colours, and functional. Now they are selling to the masses, they are becoming the Scandinavian version of The North Face or Bergaus.  They have started adding horrible colours and trim to appeal to Chavs, 14 year old girls, '70's glam rock fans, and Diddy and Tim.
