There's some dramatic streaming video on the BBC News Channel right now showing a recent helicopter  rescue on Striding Edge.

Astonishingly, the Great North Air Ambulance pilot lands his helicopter on the ridge itself after being called in by Patterdale and Penrith Mountain rescue teams after a 62-year-old walker fell from the classic grade one scramble.

The walker was taken to hospital in Carlisle and released after treatment. You can see the video at news.bbc.co.uk.
