The Ben caught on web cam this
morning and
there's a load more snow due

After a somewhat surreal, spring-like weekend, when parts of Scotland
achieved national notoriety by registering warmer temperatures than
Barcelona, things are thankfully taking a turn for the chilly again
with snow sweeping into the higher areas of Scotland and northern
England over the next couple of days.
Frosts overnight too. So cross your fingers for a snowy, icy
weekend. Of course, even though Walter's prognostications appear on a
Friday morning, the links to weather sources will work all week
round, ditto the links to the Avalanche Information Service etc. Take
a look at his last
report. And for an up to date look at how the snow's doing, don't
forget the new OM
web cam page.
The best mountain forecast we've seen, the one at Online
Weather is still being redeveloped, but Online boss Douglas Yule
tells us that he's hoping it will be back up and running by early
February, which is, of course, next week. Meanwhile, for a good
source of mountain weather forecasts, see this
page at Scotland Online.
