Here Comes Winter
Just when you thought it was safe to melt down your crampons, along comes the promise of cold and snow, sigh... First snow of winter today!

Looks like winter's on the way - forecasts are for frost tonight
and the possibility of snow over high ground both in Scotland and
northern England.
According to Online Weather's mountain area forecast, temperatures
on the tops are already hovering around freezing point and tomorrow
will see freezing levels dropping even further to 2000 feet or less
with cold winds from the north and wintry showers all over the
place.
Good news for the weekend's OUTDOORSmagic Member Meet-Up at Edale
in the Peak District, or maybe not? Things should settle down by the
weekend with sunny spells forecast.
Don't forget, you can always access a selection of web weather
forecasts including Online Weather's mountain forecasts using
OUTDOORSmagic's weather
page. It's accessible all week long under the 'Get Outdoors' menu
heading, though we'll continue to run our regular weekend round-up on
Friday mornings.
