Leo Houlding made the BBC Five Live news the other night with a
quick report saying that the team was hoping to climb Everest wearing
1920s replica gear, right now though, the Altitude Everest Team is
back in Advanced Base Camp resting and packing in preparation for the
start of their summit bid this Friday 8 June.
The team's left its summit bid late - most expeditions have
already left the mountain - but while a storm is forecast to hit the
mountain imminently, the forecast for 12 June apparently remains
good.
So far the highest the team have been on the mountain is Camp 2 at
around 7500 metres where they spent a windy night to acclimatise to
the altitude before descending to ABC once more.
The team has also been filming climbers and Sherpas in 1920s
clothing and equipment as part of the footage for the docu drama at
the heart of the expedition.
There's plenty to browse through on the expedition web site
including daily updated video and photographs from the team, see
