The first ever iROC
race at the weekend hit the jackpot in the weather lottery with
gorgeous conditions contributing to what was apparently a cracking
event.
The new north-eastern adventure race weekend which was sponsored by
local outdoor footwear specialist inov-8 and took place in the
challenging terrain of a disused quarry and former cement works site in
the heart of the Durham Dales, part of the largely unsung North Pennines Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We don't have full results but we can tell you that the winner of the
initial 13km fell run was Morgan Donnelly. That was just one of a mix
of fell races, mountain bike time trials and orienteering that made up
the complete event over the weekend.
What we can do is show you a couple more images from the event courtesy
of Chris Lines.
