It's Foothpaths Week!

The Ramblers' Association has organised a series of events to highlight footpath issues right across the country and it's not too late to get involved

Ooops, we're a bit late on this one, but we're in the middle of the Ramblers' Association's Footpaths Week.

Running from 21-27 June, the week aims to highlight footpath issues through a series of events throughout the country. There's a whole list of various walks with contact details on this page - most are aimed at highlighting local obstruction or hazard issues and the RA is urging people to get out and show their support.

The same page links to a useful guide to lobbying for footpath improvements and a Path Problem Report Form to report, erm, path problems.

The RA says that approximately one third of English rights of way are difficult or impossible to use due to obstructions.
