Jacket Saves Man

A man who fell 600 feet in Scotland says his life was saved by a jacket. No, really, it's true.

A man has been saved from certain death by a Karrimor jacket. He writes to Karrimor:

'I was climbing in Scotland when I had a fall of some 600 feet down the side of Corrie an Lochan. I injured myself very badly but if it was not for the durability of your equipment I would be dead. The jacket that I was wearing was a Karrimor Summit jacket and it took the brunt of the fall along with the Hot Earth Rucsac. I am now fully recovered and am looking to be back climbing and skiing in the winter!'

We reckon he should take a look in his pockets in case he'd popped a steering wheel air bag in there without noticing.

Hmmmm... More seriously, Karrimor tell us that they've just opened a second discount store at the Lowry Designer Outlet at Salford Quays with a promise to 'give every visitor 50% of every item'. It's apparently directly opposite Karrimor's first store in the same complex. Worth a look if you're in the area. Karrimor also opened a Karrimor store in Ambleside late last year, presumably to address the scarcity of outdoor equipment shops in the area.

I'll get me bombproof coat...
