July's Photo Of The Month Winner!

It gives us quite enormous pleasure to announce the first winner of the Bridgedale OUTDOORSmagic Gallery Photo of the Month Competition.

The prize for July consisting of five pairs of Bridgedale Trekker socks for the most rated photograph of the month goes to.... [drum roll] OM member Marcus Crompton for this stunning shot of Eilean Donan taken 'after closing time' on a September evening.

Those are Skye's Cuillin hills in the background and we reckon it's a worthy winner. Five pairs of socks will be on their way to Marcus shortly.

Not far behind in second place - sorry, no socks, was Conan Harrod's Everest summit photo. You don't see many of those...

And in third place, and surely an overall contender if only it had been submitted earlier in the month, Neil Higgins' 'Days of Thunder' stunner from the Lakes.

The good news is that it all starts over again for August with another five pairs of excellent Bridgedale socks up for grabs. All you have to do is upload your outdoor images to your free three megabytes of space on the Gallery then sit and watch as the votes roll in, or not in my case :-)

August's early leader is Michael Sayles' lovely shot of The Storr, but there's still plenty of time to go...
