Kendal Announces 2007 Speakers

It might be only April, but the Kendal Mountain Festival has already announced some of its headline speakers for the 2007 event on 9-18 November and a pretty impressive list it is too.

Among the big names scheduled to be there are Sir Chris Bonington, Greg Child, Will Gadd, Neil Gresham, Leo Holding, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, John Falkner, Jack Tackle, Thomas Huber, Doug Scott and Joe Simpson.

Should be interesting and of course, alongside the Film Festival, is the 2007 Kendal Mountain Book Festival including appearances from Al Alvarez, Nick Bullock, Greg Child, Niall Grimes, Andy Kirkpatrick, Doug Scott, and Colin Wells.

And once more the event will see the unveiling of the Boardman Tasker Award for Mountain Literature, the 25th anniversary no less.

We'll tell you more about this year's Festival as information becomes available, and yes, we know it's a long way off, but stick the 9-18 November in your advance diary for now.
