A quick heads up on the Photography
Competition that's part of this year's Kendal Mountain Festival,
complete with online voting.
The Amateur Photography category of the competition is open to all
non-professional photographers with two winners, one to be chosen by
public online voting, the other one by renowned mountain landscape
photographer, Colin Prior. The winners both receive a free film pass
for the festival and will also receive a prize at the award ceremony.
The only stipulation is that 'the subject should be linked in some way
to the mountains or themes associated with mountains. They can be
serious or humorous.'
There are already some 460 or so images entered and the closing date
for entry is midnight on Friday 14 November - obviously the sooner you
enter, the longer your image will be on display and the better your
chances of winning, so what are you waiting for?
You can see and vote for the existing entries and upload your own at www.mountainfilm.co.uk/photos.cfm.
Well worth a browse even if you're not interested in entering, some
lovely images there already.
