Kendal Festival Photo Competition Kicks Off

The 2004 Kendal Film Festival dates are 12-21 November and after the success of last year's photo competition, there's a new one for 2004.

Actually there are three monthly competitions running roughly for August, September and October with the results of each decided by a public vote on the Film Festival web site. There are two categories, Landscape or Action, and you're allowed to enter a maximum of two pictures in each every month.

Pictures need to be digital, in JPEG format and sized at least 1500 by 1500 pixels for printing purposes. The two photos which receive the most votes in each category over the month - so that's four in total - will go forward to the final.

Entries for the first competition are already being accepted and you have until 31 July to get your shot in if you want to be considered for the August period.
