You can catch this year's best films from the Kendal Mountain Film Festival and support a great cause, at the RGS on Tuesday 16 March, 2010 with a showing in support of Porters' Progress UK.

It's the fourth year running that the charity, which works to improve conditions for porters working in developing countries, has presented best of Kendal films in London at the Royal Geographical Society.

This year's films include 'The Asgard Project', which won the People's Choice award, 'Samara', winner of the best Mountain Adventure Film gong and the double award-winning 'First Ascent: Alone on the Wall' which carried off both the Grand Prize and Best Climbing Film titles at Kendal.

All proceeds from the evening go to Porters' Progress UK, a charity which works to support porters working in developing countries. Tickets cost £12 and can be purchased on line at the World Expeditions web site: www.worldexpeditions.com or you can send a cheque payable to Porters Progress UK to PPUK c/o World Expeditions, 81 Craven Gardens, London SW19 8LU.

The evening runs from 7pm to 10pm on Tuesday 16 March at the RGS in Kensington Gore and the bar will be open all evening.
