More news from this year's Kendal Mountain Festival - who, what, where?

We've already told you about the 2008 Kendal Mountain Festival speaker line-up, but now we can fill you in on some of the other attractions at Kendal.

Film Premieres

Premieres this year should include several new films, including Call It What You Want from Steep Media about Kendal's own climbing prodigy George Ullrich, who recently stunned US pundits with his efforts in Yosemite and Tuolumne.

And on top of that, serial award winner Alastair Lee will be back presenting his latest release On Sight with a lecture based on his experiences during the making of the film, which should be well worth a look in its own right.

Book Festival

Two of our favourite mountaineering writers, Andy Cave and Andy Kirkpatrick have been confirmed for the Kendal Book Festival - Andy K's book Pyschovertical is out next month by the way - with Cave talking about his latest volume, Thin White Line.

On The Eiger With Fiennes

Finally Kenton Cool has been added to the lecture programme and is likely to be touching on his experiences guiding vertigo-suffering polar explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes on both the North Face of the Eiger and Everest. Should be entertaining...
