A quick hot off the press story with the news that Mountain Hardwear-sponsored climber Kenton Cool has set a new record and become the first Briton to summit Everest four times.

Kenton topped out on the world's highest mountain for the fourth time at 2.03 am local time on 17 May. Astonishingly he's just one of over 300 climbers to have summited the mountain so far this spring, with everestnews.com predicting that the record of 486 summiteers in a season is likely to fall before the end of May.

More details of Kenton's climb to follow later.

Good lord, the man has only just finished guiding Sir Ranulph up the Eiger. Does he never rest?

Isn,t it more a case of having the money to summit 4 times as opposed to the ability?

No doubt he has the ability, if anything its wasted on everest. Having the money not being an issue because he was guiding it.
