Entering is super simple. Just tell us in less than 100 words what your ultimate outdoors long weekend would be and, if you win, we'll make it come true. It could be anything - so far Scotland has been one favourite choice, but the Alps are right up there too.

But it doesn't have to be obvious: how about a jet-setting long weekend to the Picos de Europa in northern Spain? Or maybe you could cram in a lightning raid on the Atlas Mountains of Morocco? Or maybe a volcano-bagging raid on the Canary Islands?

More? There's always northern Europe to look at - fancy a winter weekend tackling ice routes in Rjukan maybe? Or could you fit in a two-dayer in the Polish Tatras?

Verdon Gorge - Charles Jefferson

'I'd head down to the Verdon Gorge with my girlfriend and our closest friends. We spend the days climbing the big walls hitting up some classic multi-pitch routes, take the kayaks out on the lake, and walking the Sentier Martel track. Retiring each night to the poshest digs around. The weather would be warm and sunny and there would be plenty of dips in the river...'

Paddling Norway - Marcus Mumford

'How about flying to Bodø in Northern Norway on Friday afternoon, then taking the first ferry across to Lofoten, an archipelago of jagged mountains rising steeply from the turquoise sea. A hike over the hills on Saturday would take us to the beach on the West side of the island that can only be reached on foot. We’d wild camp here hoping to see the Northern Lights. On Sunday a boat would deliver kayaks for us to then paddle back round to the port to catch a ferry back to the mainland and last flight home. Just perfect.'

Dance With Hawaiians - Rachel Craig

'To visit Hawaii - and dance on the beach with the locals. Whilst we wear grass skirts and dance the hula - or at least attempt to. I think this would be great fun and a wonderful adventure to then explore the island.' [hmmm... not sure you can do that as long-weekender... editor]
