The UK's biggest outdoor event for outdoor people

It’s a Cliffhanger packed weekend for me at Sheffield’s epic outdoor festival and hopefully I’ll see plenty of you OutdoorsMagic’ers there. Including our three lucky winners who have each pocketed a pair of tickets.

For me the weekend will kick off with a great music line-up on Friday night including The Ratells, The Northern Generals, Rumblebird and Jodi and the Jupitrons.

I’ll then be heading back on Saturday and deciding how best to channel my competitive instincts. The XC mountain biking eliminator, Downhill Slalom and the Rat Run with obstacles all tickle my fancy so I could be a little tired by the end of the day and in need of a bit of refreshment at the beer tent. Hopefully rehydrated and with a second wind, I’ll be heading over to watch the British Bouldering Championship.

It’s then more music with Ellen and the Escapades, Fossil Collective, Lets Buy Happiness and Lucy Spraggan.

More exertion on Sunday morning with the Rat Ride. I rode the route of this 50 km sportive on Monday and it’s a cracker. Save some gas for the big climb out of Hathersage is my advice. I’ll then probably collapse in a gibbering heap, gobble down some of the great food on offer and watch some of the cream of Britain’s junior climbers compete in the big top.
