OM Routes Editor Dave Mycroft has created a meets calendar
for OUTDOORSMagic members on his own website. The Calendar, which
requires a Google account for access, will list all the OM
meets, along with a location map and links to the meet organiser and
forum thread.
You'll need a free Google account to access the calendar, but it's
got to be worth it to know what's coming up over forthcoming months.
With an expanded meets list for 2007 already including Spain, The
Pyrenees, Norway, island hopping by sea kayak off The Western Isles
and kayaking the Whisky trail down the River Spey you can plan your
whole year.
The Meets and Partners section of the OM Forum is still the place
to discuss and organise meets, but the calendar will make it easier
to see what's going on and provide a summary of the details you need
to know without having to scroll through long forum threads.
To have a meet included just e-mail
Dave the details and before you know it the world will know. As well
as meets the calendar will list important outdoor dates like the
Kendal Mountain Film Festival, TGO Challenge and NEC. To check out
the calendar see www.themountainagency.co.uk/support.html
