More in today's Guardian on the 'accidental' death of a man on Ben Nevis in 1962, which is now being treated as a potential murder.

If you've missed this rather bizarre story, a former school pupil has come forward with a claim that 23-year-old student volunteer, Howard "Tim" Keeley was pushed to his death from a ledge on the mountain.

The official line at the time appears to have been that one of the pupils dropped an ice axe into Corrie Leis and Keeley fell to his death after going back to retrieve it. The school, which catered for juvenile delinquents, was closed in 1983 and police investigations are problematic, with difficulties in tracing potential witnesses.
