Alastair Lee has a new exhibition on starting this weekend.
'More Than Meets The Eye' showcases a selection of Alastair's
beautiful 360-degree panoramic landscapes from all around the globe
and runs from 14 August till 25 September at the Mid Pennine Gallery
in Yorke Street, Burnley.
Even better, entry to the exhibition is free with opening hours
Monday to Saturday, 10 till 5pm, except Tuesday when it's open from
10am to 1pm only - not 10pm as we originally said, oops... If you're desperate for an evening viewing, get in touch with Alastair direct and he'll see what he can do.
So why 'more than meets the eye'? Alastair chose the label because
the panoramic shots take us beyond our normal field of vision making
them incredibly striking and unusual. The exhibition includes images
from locations ranging from Bolivian salt lakes and Andean mountain
vistas to North America's wild west, Canadian lakes, Moroccan
deserts, French forests, Lakeland fells and Alastair's local hunting
ground in East Lancashire.'
Also available at the exhibition is a 32-page booklet featuring
all the images from the exhibition priced at £7.99. To give you
an idea, here's a couple of Alastair's finest. For a larger version,

Went to see this today and can heartily recommend a visit. Superb pictures, and good little anecdotes for each one to put them into context. Especially like the local pictures, even considering buying one... Steve
